The goals of the Zayed Huon Energy Futures Team are to create awareness of energy efficiency in the Huon Valley.
We are a group of students working as a team for a more sustainable future. Our motivation comes from the events that are happening around us every day.
Events like the energy crisis Tasmania had meant that families needed to cut their energy usage to help the states energy supply. The drought that occurred in 2016 and the break in the Basslink cable cut much needed supply of energy our state needed.
Climate change was identified as the number one concern in a Huonville High School student poll.
As a team we are creating awareness and ultimately making a change to our future; sustainable, energy efficient and positive future.
